Qui a Patatolandia hanno l’abitudine di festeggiare quando, durante la costruzione di una casa, si arriva al tetto.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Logicamente non tutti lo fanno, ma puo’ capitare che ai futuri proprietari venga questa idea, e la vogliano condividere con parenti & amici, con gli architetti & ed i muratori.
\nMolte volte anche con i futuri vicini di casa, come nel nostro caso.<\/p>\n

Se ogni tanto per le strade bavaro-patatolesi si vedono sul tetto delle case degli alberelli, con tanto di cordoni bianco-azzurri ( i colori della Baviera, insomma ), significa che i muratori sono arrivati al tetto e che quindi si festeggia \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Se ben ricordo, in Italia, viene messa una bandiera tricolore. Ma non so nulla circa eventuali festeggiamenti a tal proposito.<\/p>\n

Chi sa o si ricorda qualche cosa?.<\/p>\n

And all the rewards after their precise work
\nFor the old tradition of the Richtfest today
\nWhere they can make themselves strong with food and drink
\nThe mason and the carpenter<\/p>\n

Today everyone is proud and happy,
\nThose who worked so proficiently
\nThose fine workmen
\nWho did their profession proud<\/p>\n

With that, as best I can,
\nAs strong as a carpenter
\nWith pride upon this lordly sight,
\nI wish the new house good fortune<\/p>\n

We ask God
\nWho protected us so well from all ills,
\nWe ask Him to protect this building
\nFrom need and danger in all its forms<\/p>\n

With great pleasure I take this glass in hand,
\nFilled to the brim with wine,
\nAnd with the fiery fruit of the vines,
\nEvery man wants the honour I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been given,
\nGiven to me by the old tradition
\nOf when a building has been finished.<\/p>\n

The first glass is for the builders:
\nThree cheers for them, hip hip hooray!<\/p>\n

The second sip is for the architects,
\nThree cheers for them, hip hip hooray!<\/p>\n

Now for those who at all times
\nNot only need their head, but also their hand
\nLet praise be upon them once more, to the carpenters
\nThrough whose strength, this building stands<\/p>\n

Now the glass is empty
\nAnd I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve not much else worth saying
\nSo I throw this down to the ground below
\nNobody needs a broken glass again
\nBut the shards bring the luck and blessing
\nOf all workers!<\/p>\n
